Digital Bubble

I find the habit of walking down the street glued to a phone quite selfish; it creates a distance between us and the real world. While it's nice to curate our own digital reality through videos and social media—and sometimes even a relief to escape the 'raw truth'—it shouldn't become our default state. I’ve heard people say, 'Let's go there just so we can post it,' only to spend hours editing and replying instead of actually enjoying the place and the friends they're with. Technology should be an occasional escape, not the place where we live our lives.

Sometimes I sound like I’m just complaining about how much technology has changed our lives, but that isn't true. I recognize the revolution it brought. In fact, I met my partner through social media! But once that happened, I lost interest in the platforms. It’s a bit like starting therapy after a divorce: you lean on it when you're alone, but once you start a new relationship, you tend to move on and leave it behind.
